So far, Norway has only returned eight of the 300 asylum seekers Russia were willing to accept in the beginning of February.
After lengthy negotiations, the Norway and Russia on 4 February made an agreement on the return of 200-300 asylum seekers who have multiple visas or prolonged stay in Russia.
Since that time, only eight asylum seekers have been returned to Russia, the Police Immigration Service (PU) informs Dagsavisen.
The amount of paperwork needed to make sure everything is in order is stated to be the main reason why there haven’t been any more returns. by both Norwegian and Russian authorities
