The day of the workers is an excellent day to mark resistance to tolls said Fpr’s leading candidate in Oslo, Aina Stenersen.

The party will mark the opposition in several places in Oslo city center on May 1 reported Nettavisen news.

‘’We must be very visible, because this is a very hidden introduction of new fees. This affects a lot of low-paid employees in Oslo, young children, pensioners, and others’’ said Stenersen to the news source.

She pointed out that 53 new toll stations will arrive in the capital on 1 June. Stenersen announced that tolls will be a major concern for Frp in the election and promises to remove all toll stations in Oslo if the party ends up in city council. The toll-gates are part of Oslopakke 3 and finance large road developments, but also public transport and new pedestrian and bicycle paths, both in Oslo and Akershus.

Oslo toll opponents can also vote for the protest party, ‘Folkeaksjonen Nei’ (FNB) in the autumn elections. Stenersen denied that she fears the competition from what she refers to as a ‘single issue’ party.
