Singapore is still the world’s most expensive city to live in, but Zurich and Hong Kong are close behind. Oslo remains stable at 13th place.

This is revealed in the annual ranking of the magazine The Economist.
The gap between Singapore in first place and Zurich and Hong Kong, who share the second place, is closing. On the next places are  Geneva, Paris, London and New York .
Copenhagen is at eighth place, and is this makes it the most expensive city in the Nordic countries. The next Nordic cities on the list are Oslo (13), Helsinki (17), Reykjavik (29) and Stockholm (42).
The annual report ranks 133 cities worldwide. Last year was characterized marked by falling oil prices, currency fluctuations and geopolitical uncertainty. The strong dollar ensured that all the American cities that are included in the measurement, got a higher placing on the list than they did last time.
