Owner of banknotes in Oslo has notified the police

A man has notified the police in Oslo and said that the thousands of kroner which lay strewn along Østre Aker road are his.

– He is now sitting with a colleague of mine and explaining himself, informs shift leader Anders Johnsrud from Crime Guard in Oslo Police NTB on Wednesday evening

.Police received on Wednesday at 13.50 a message from several people that 500 notes were strewn on a long stretch between Østre Aker road between Økern and Veitvet in Oslo.

Several motorists stopped to pick up money before the police arrived.

Police had collected around 30,000 kroner, but do not know much others may have taken with them.

– We encourage those who have done this, to deliver the money to the police, said operations manager André crows Stad of Oslo police to news agency NTB.
