The closure of Bryn tunnel will halve the capacity of the Ring 3 in Oslo and lead to huge queues in the traffic on Monday morning, think NPRA (Statens vegvesen).

The tunnel, which has 70,000  cars passing through on a normal, has already been partially closed for a week. But Oslo’s inhabitants had their winter holiday this week, it is estimated that there will be a great increase in traffic on Monday morning. The work in Bryn tunnel will probably cause many problems for the cars passing through that area.
– The tunnel has been partially closed for a week, but we believe that lowered traffic during the winter holiday has meant that things have gone quite well. We estimate that there will be much larger  queues on Monday Hilde Ulvik, project manager for the tunnel rehabilitation in Oslo in NPRA, said to TV 2.
To remedy some of the capacity problems, the Road Administration opened 900 temporary parking spaces outside the city to entice people to leave their car.  Of the new spaces ,400 of the spaces were at Daisy, 100 new spaces  at Vinterbro, 300   at the plantation at Hvam and  and 100 new spaces on Olavsgård.
– The  buses of Ruter will be travelling through those areas more frequently in order to make it easier for people to catch the bus instead of driving through the congested area in their own cars. and we hope many will be using the offer, saying Ulvik.
Buses will be given priority, and it restrictions will be introduced for electric vehicles driving in the collective lanes in both the E6 and E18.
