A number of people have been arrested with several million kroner in cash and large quantities of alcohol and cigarettes are seized in a crackdown on a criminal Polish neighborhood in the Oslo area.
On Monday Oslo police reports on their Facebook page that a project at Majorstuen police station have recently been focused on illegal alcohol sales to minors, known as so-called alcohol-taxis.
Eventually all the illegal liquor environment in the capital has been included in this work.
A major breakthrough occurred on Tuesday 4th of October when a uniformed police stopped a car in Ris, northwest of Oslo. Police found some contraband in the car but also information that led them to a house in Oslo where it appeared that 25 people stayed.
– Searches of homes and garages revealed approximately 4,000 liters of beer, 400 liters of liquor and about 43,000 cigarettes, police said.
The driver of the car that was stopped, was arrested on the spot and claimed in later questioning as ownership of the entire warehouse.
Central to the revelation of a booze Network is a 30 years old Polish man who in his home country is known as “Scarface” and who have been clamoring for murder in Poland.
The man regarded as having played a key role in the illegal liquor sales and was in early September arrested on Stovner, northeast of Oslo.
