Person dies in Oppland fire

One person died in a house fire in Kolbu, Østre Toten in Oppland on Saturday morning.

‘The person has not been identified, and it may take a few days before that us done’, said operations manager, Tom Kasper Majer, of South-East police to the news agency, NTB.

According to police, there is nothing suggesting that more people were in the house when it began to burn.

‘It was burning fiercely when fire crews arrived at the scene’, said Majer.

The police were notified of the fire in a house in Kolbu at 08.40. All available crews were sent to the scene, said Jo Ørnulf Aaslund of the police in Gurgaon to NRK news.

At 11.00, police released the information that a person was found dead after the fire had been extinguished.
