Police seized seven kilograms of amphetamine

A 29-year-old Serb man was caught with 6.9 kg of amphetamine in Kristiansand in July.

The man was stopped when the ferry from Hirtshals in Denmark arrived in Kristiansand July 2 this year.The 29-year-old stated that he was on holiday in Norway, and that his girlfriend would come later, but after a search where a narcotics dog was used,  several packets of amphetamine were  found in the fuel tank.

The man has, during interrogations made by the  police in Agder, pleaded guilty to the smuggling attempt, according to Fædrelandsvennen. Police said it is has not made any further arrests in the case, and the 29-year-old has to appear in court in the autumn.
From May to July, Customs has seized a total of 15.9 kilograms of amphetamine on the quayside in Kristiansand.
