On Saturday, Liberal politician Abid Raja received what he perceived as threatening text messages from Islamist Mohyeldeen Mohammad.

On Tuesday night, Mohammad defended his messages in a YouTube video.

Abid Raja told TV 2 that he perceives the video as “seriously threatening”, and that he would report it to the Police Security Service (PST).

The text messages and video were about Raja’s grumblings about the nikab and burqa. Raja warned VG last week against a ban, but admitted at the same time that he has felt loathing when he has seen women in those garments.

By Monday afternoon, Raja confirmed that he would report the text messages.

PST has stated that they want to question Mohammad.

He plans to do so. He denies having done anything criminal and stands by his statements, said Muhammad’s lawyer, John Christian Elden to news agency NTB.
