Red Cross is highly critical to the way the government handled the large influx of asylum seekers last fall. Among the things they react to, is unaccompanied minors being locked up for 17 hours.

According to VG report says also that children with diarrhea did not get their  diapers changed, and that several people had to sleep outside on the ground.
– Many experienced the conditions as complete chaos.  The conditions of the children in particular were highly reprehensible,  department manager in Red Cross, Mads Harlem,  says .

The Department of Justice will go over the report thoroughly to see if something can be improved,  parliamentary secretary Marit Berger Røsland said. She also says the Ministry does not agree with the descriptions of the Red Cross, including describing the way the governement handled the influx as “completely irresponsible” and that it “lacked leadership”
