It looks like Ryanair will continue flying from Moss Airport Rygge anyway, despite the government insisting on introducing the controversial air passenger tax.
The Irish budget airline has previously made it clear that it will close its base at Rygge from November 1, unless the fee is shelved. But now Ryanair have posted new tickets for sale for the coming winter, for flights to destinations including the Canary Islands, Krakow and Bergamo, Sarpsborg Arbeiderblad reports.
– It is possible to book trips to Las Palmas and Tenerife, marketing manager Silje Thoresen said. She welcomes the government’s decision to postpone the introduction of the air passenger tax from 1 April to 1 June.
– Our hope is that the government will manage to find an alternative coverage to the tax in the revised national budget, she said.
