A samba dance got the temperature up around the royal visit in an otherwise shivering summer cold in Bodo Sunday.

The jubilee journey along the Norwegian coast from the 18th to 29th June is part of the celebration of the king and queen being the royal couple for 25 years. The journey started in Tromso Saturday, and on Sunday the Bodø residents were in line to receive a visit.
In an otherwise bitterly cold summer rain, with eight degrees and wind and rain, two local dancers brought color and warmth to the visit. While most were well dressed in weather jacket and scarf, the two women defied the cold with a display of the Brazilian people dance samba and as is tradition were lightly clad but wore large ornamental feathers.
The King and Queen, who sat covered with warm jackets, seemed to appreciate the demonstration.
