Another eleven families will sue Boeing after a Lion Air passenger plane crashed in Indonesia in December.
The families join many others who lost their loved ones when the passenger plane crashed in December. The aircraft was a Boeing 737 MAX 8, the same model as the Ethiopian Airlines plane that crashed in March.
A total of 346 people lost their lives in the two accidents. Among them was Karoline Aadland from Norway.
The families believe that the opportunity to win against the US aircraft manufacturer has been strengthened after the company’s chief executive,
Dennis Muilenburg, apologized last week.
He also said that updating the software for the MAX 8 aircraft will prevent more accidents. The software is to prevent the aircraft from stalling.
Boeing has always claimed that the aircraft are safe.
