Slovakia’s president met Norway’s leading cancer experts

King Harald and Queen Sonja took Slovakia’s head of state to visit Radium Hospital and the researchers at the Oslo Cancer Cluster Tuesday.

 

After a brief visit to the Wilhelmsen shipping company in Lysaker just outside of Oslo, Slovakia’s President Andrej Kiska, meet with top-level Norwegian cancer researchers, and a presentation of northern Europe’s premier cancer hospital, Radium Hospital, on Tuesday. The Oslo Cancer Cluster and Radium Hospital are located side by side and collaborate closely with cancer research.

Oslo Cancer Cluster is a research and industrial cluster in cancer diagnostics and medicine. The health club consists of over 90 companies, hospitals, research and innovation environments which plays an important role in cooperation and meeting places for research and industry development in the cancer field.

Day two of the state visit was finished with a visit to the National Theater, where Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson’s “Over Evne, andre stykke” was performed by actors from the Slovak National Theater.
