More jobs in the private sector while new groups are included in the workplace. That’s the big political future goal of Prime Minister Erna Solberg.

– We have two major challenges. One is to provide more jobs in the private sector in order to finance public welfare. The other to ensure an inclusive society without major differences, said Solberg as she opened the so-called perspective conference in Oslo, the four bourgeois parties in the parliamentary groups attended.

The conference is a breakout giving perspective to the message that the government will put forward in the spring. Part of the purpose is to ensure that the Conservative Party, Progress Party, Christian Democrats and the Liberals have a common understanding of the key challenges ahead.

Besides the refugee crisis, climate issues and new security challenges, the cost of the welfare state, the reorganization of the Norwegian economy and the impending age wave is on the list for the bourgeois. The parties’ youth organizations are concerned about future pensions.

– We were very concerned when I was with the Young Conservatives too. It is a reality that there are more elderly while revenues from oil and gas becomes smaller, said Solberg.
