Three strikes may affect Norwegian airline passengers over the next few days. On Thursday morning there might be already a strike for SAS pilots, unless the parties agree.

The Norwegian pilots represented by Norwegian Cockpit Association and Norwegian SAS Pilot Association (SNF) will sit in arbitration with the national mediator in Oslo.

Altogether around 430 pilots will be on strike Thursday morning if the parties fail to reach agreement which could impacts large portion of SAS’s air traffic in Norway. Mediation deadline will be on Thursday midnight.
According to newspaper Dagens Næringsliv SAS is looking for a more flexible joint agreement for pilots. Among other things, the company wants more pilots to be at work during the summer.

Thursday is the mediation time for security officers and 250 security officers will be on strike at Oslo airport if no agreement reached out, which will impact the Air traffic on Friday.
Also 400 pilots of Swedish SAS are in danger of being affected by Friday strike which would also affect air traffic in Norway.

This will affect flights getting in and out of Norway and overall Scandinavian flights, says information Director of SAS Knut Morten Johansen.
The mediation deadline will be on Friday 18:00 O’clock.
