More summer days in store for southern Norway
The Easter weather has consisted of sun and warm weather in much of Norway. Many Norwegians return to everyday life on Tuesday, but the nice summer weather continues over southern Norway.
“Both today and Tuesday, there will be dream weather all over southern Norway up to Trøndelag. Typical Nordic summer days. Some places the temperature can reach up to 20 degrees centigrade,” State Meteorologist, Rafael Escobar Løvdahl, tells Aftenposten.
Maundy Thursday was the first Nordic summer day in Østfold. During the Easter weekend, the thermometer has reached 20 oC in almost all counties of southern Norway. According to the meteorologist, there is no reason to put away the sunblock even after the Easter holiday is over.
Western Norway, Trøndelag and Nordland will experience pleasant weather in the last half of the week, while it in Eastern Norway will be a bit overcast from Wednesday onwards.
“Then we will see some more clouds and maybe a little rain throughout the day. But the temperatures will be less fluctuating than they have been so far. It will remain fairly warm,” the State Meteorologist explains.

Not as nice weather in the North
While southern Norway rounds off the Easter holiday with exceptionally good weather on Monday, it is nowhere near as pleasant in the north of Norway.
“The rain clouds that lie above Nordland in the afternoon move north to Troms and Finnmark during the evening and night. In northern parts of Troms it can come up to 50 millimetres during the next 24 hours,” the Norwegian Meteorological Institute tweets Monday afternoon.
