Man from Sunnmøre sentenced to prison for threats on the app Jodel

A 25-year-old man from Sunnmøre have to spend 90 days in jail after he via the mobilapp Jodel have threatened to  shoot a female student.

According to NRK news , the cell phone he used for writing the threat will be confiscated as well. In March 15  the message was posted on the message service. It caught the attention of NCIS, and local police tracked down three men, one of whom confessed shortly after. Just seven days later the court made its verdict.
The man claimed in court that he wrote the message because he was bored, but that it was not directed at any person in particular.
– I understand that the threat was likely to cause fear, and it’s good the police reacted as they did, the 25-year-old explained in court, according to Sunnmørsposten.
The sentence of 90 days in jail ia also because of storage of hashish, as well as the execution of a partly suspended sentence for violence against police from 2015.
Lately several threats have been made to schools via the German mobile app Jodel. At the beginning of February,  NCIS  announced that they have asked the founders of message service for closer cooperation in order to identify those who have made the threats.
