Ten people are in custody after customs agents at Svinesund confiscated a ‘considerable amount’ drugs in August.

The case is being investigated by the South Western Police District.

According Rogaland Avis, most of the defendants are in their 20s and 30s. Last week’s arrest by the police involved a couple from Bergen, a Norwegian man and a Czech woman. People from Poland, Slovakia and Lithuania are also among the defendants.

– The investigation by the police perception has uncovered a network that has been behind many importations of the drugs involving significant amounts coming to Norway, and the significant seizures of drugs in several cars, said police attorney Thale Thomsen of the South Western Police District.

She will not disclose the kind of narcotics found, nor how much.
– We are talking about a very significant amount, said the police lawyer.
