Two burglars have been  arrested in Bærum after trying to break into a dwelling where the residents were still awake and watching TV.

According to NRK news they first got a message about another burglary at Bekkestua earlier on Monday night.

– We have arrested two people who clearly had been sneaking around in our district last night, leader of operations in Asker and Bærum, Tora Jordan,  said to the channel.

Police speculate that there is a large group of people working together that is behind a dozen serious burglaries in the area since July.
Last Thursday, a woman got stabbed when she surprised a burglar inside his kitchen, and the perpetrator is still at large.

Police are now investigating whether the two arrested persons may have had anything to do with the other cases.

– It’s good to know that we have arrested two people last night, so we’ll see eventually if we can tie them to more burglaries, said Jordan.
Police said the two arrested are of foreign origin. A Romanian man is wanted for several burglaries in Asker and Bærum this summer.
