Twelve terror attacks averted in Britain since 2013

British police and intelligence service have averted twelve terrorist attacks in the UK since June 2013, said head of the British security service M15.

– Today, the most visible threat of terrorism particularly caused by the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant – ISIL – or Daesh in Syria, says M15 chief Andrew Parker, according M15s own website.

He also says that ISIS is a threat which will remain here at least for a generation.

British intelligence will be able to stop most attacks, but not all, according to Parker.

He further emphasized that the intelligence services are particularly dependent on expertise in “IT, technology and science” to stop the attacks.
