Two boys charged with rape in Bergen

Two teenage boys are charged for raping a girl in Bergen in September. Both boys deny culpability.

– I can confirm that the 16 years old and the 17 years old boys are charged for rape case, said police prosecutor Inger-Lise Høyland, to the newspaper Bergens Tidende.

She did not want to disclose where it allegedly took place, when it was reported, or the context in which the assault occurred.

Both boys’ lawyers said that their clients deny culpability.

The three youngsters know each other and have been in the same environment.

My client is characterized by what has happened, but try to get back to normal life, says the girl’s counsel, Line Hvidtsten Ingebrigtsen.

Høyland states that the police have taken actions in the matter and that the young people followed up by public assistance agencies.
