Two men deny culpability for violence against imam

Two men accused in a knife attack against an imam in Oslo for just over two years ago, denied guilt when the trial began in Oslo District Court on Monday.

A 37 years old woman who is accused of having removed evidence, acknowledged guilt, reported NRK news.

A 30 and a 41 years old men are charged with aggravated bodily injury and risk up to ten years in prison. For 30 years old prosecutor, District Attorney Nina Harboe Jensen Søndersrød, takes subject to detention.

Imam Nehmat Ali Shah from Central Jamaat Ahle-Sunnat mosque in Grønland-Oslo was attacked with a knife late at night on June 16, 2014. According to the indictment now the 30 years old man is followed based on stabbing the imam repeatedly.

Several of the sticks had sewn, and at least one of the injuries resulted in life-threatening bleeding that had to be treated in hospital, which increase the indictment.

41 years old is accused of having participated in the planning of the stabbing and for riding 30 years old to the site.

The woman is accused of having attempted to conceal the crime by throwing one of the co-defendants shoes when she failed to wash away the blood stains on them.
