Since the change of government three years ago, the waiting time for drug treatment was reduced by 40 percent. In 2016 the likelihood is to be 37 days.
Preliminary report from the Directorate of Health is showing the results, wrote newspaper Klassekampen.
Health Minister Bent Høie (H) believes development in getting intoxication treatment has been given high priority throughout the period that new government worked and he claims the coalition government wasted time.
– We felt that they came with many ideological rumblings about as heroin-assisted treatment, while showed little interest in action.
The difference between our governments is the willingness to prioritize what really works, says health minister.
Labour’s ruspolitiske spokeman, Ruth Grung, call Høie as”petty.”
– It is good that the waiting time is decreased but it is the result of bipartisan effort, says Grung – which shows that also the coalition funds for new pitches in his last budget.
