The Ministry of Education will use smartphones to identify refugees’ work experience and education.

The survey will be made by the refugees themselves with computer or smartphone, and will provide an overview of job experience, education and language, said the Ministry in a statement.

The aim of the survey is getting refugees into work more quickly. When his or her survey is done, the refugee will be offered vocational and educational guidance.

Anyone who lives in ordinary reception centers and have been granted or have a high probability of being granted their asylum application, will be taking part in this. The ultimate version will be completed in 2017, but a test version will gradually be brought into use in 2016.

The network solution will be developed by Vox, Norwegian Agency for Lifelong Learning, , in cooperation with the UDI, IMDi, NOKUT and Nav.
