The manager of Norway, Per Mathias Høgmo, admits that it will be difficult to beat football giant Germany in the World Cup qualification, but is determined that Norway will get the better of both Northern Ireland and the Czech Republic.

The run up to the fall World Cup qualifying begins in late May.  The away game against Portugal will be the first test. Then there will be matches against Iceland (h) and Belgium (a) at the beginning of June.
– We will use a similar strategy to the one we used before the European Championship qualifiers. Then we met France, Russia and England. Those were tough matches, but very good practice. We will get that now as well against nations which have all qualified for the European Championships,  Høgmo says.
– The away games against Portugal and Belgium  are matches where we definitely will get our defensive abilities and abilities to counterattack tested  and that is important. In the home game against Iceland we want to be the team with the most ball possesion, although our counterattack abilities will be important there as wll. These  matches will be a good way to streamline our interaction and teamwork, he continues .
