One Million Watched NRK’s World Cup

928,000 Norwegians watched the World Cup quarter-final between Brazil & Belgium on Norwegian Broadcasting Corp. (NRK) last Friday night, July 6th, representing a market share of 80%.

 

The latest viewership indicators from NRK reveals that the Sweden-England World Cup game was also quite popular in Norwegian homes, with 760,000 TV viewers
enjoying the broadcast and pulling a market share of 91%.

STRONG RADIO
The new NRK viewership statistics are somewhat lower than tallied during the
quarterfinals in EM 2016.

NRK’s radio broadcast of the World Cup also saw high ratings this weekend, with the Sweden-England match entertaining about 180,000 listeners.

NRK Sport saw the largest audience on Saturday night, July 7th. On that evening, 28% of all radio listeners tuned in to the match between Croatia & Russia, where listeners heard Russia participate in the semifinals after a penalty shootout.

Sport authorities have posted France as favored to win.
