Martin Ødegaard (Norway) is with Real Madrid squad (soccer team) travels to Canada Monday. Zinedine Zidane’s sons, Enzo and Luca will also attend.

Real Madrid announced Saturday which players will travel to North America to participate in a training tournament with Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea and Bayern Munich.
Norwegian Martin Ødegaard was as expected a part of the squad.

The Barcelona-friendly newspaper Sport, however, wrote manager Zinedine Zidane initially had not planned to bring 17-year-old to the event, but that president Florentino Pérez forced him to include the teenager. The intention being that Real Madrid want to “show off” Ødegaard to potential lending clubs.

The 17-year-old also travelled last year with the capital club’s summer tour. It was during Australia’s visit he got his first start when Rome was playing in Melbourne.

Of the 25 players Zidane is bringing to North America, eleven of them come from the reserve or U19 team, among other sons Enzo and Luca. Enzo played with Ødegaard in Castilla last season, while Luca stood in goal for the U19 team.

Several of the first team stars such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Toni Kroos are still on vacation after the European Championship.
In August Real Madrid face Sevilla in the European Super Cup at Lerkendal.
