It is still possible for those who haven’t got any tickets yet, to be ringside at  the Cecilia Brækhus fight.  A small number of tickets are available and cost 2490 crowns apiece.

She will have her main boxing fight in Oslo Spektrum on Saturday 1 October. There will be nearly 10,000 spectators attending the first professional boxing matches in Norway since 1981.

Brækhus will meet Anne Sophie Mathis and is a big favorite. Virtually the entire arena was sold out in a few days after pro competition matches were allowed on Norwegian soil.

In addition to  the Brækhus-fight, there will be three other matches at the gala. Those will also  be included in the ticket price.

TV 3 will broadcast live from the matches.
Brækhus is well underway with the sparring after several weeks of rigorous physical training in Spain. Bergen girl debuted as a pro in 2007 and is unbeaten in 28 fights since.

– I have only three weeks of training left, and they should be used for sparring. Now the main phase begins. That’s where we add technique, find appropriate opponents and tactics to ensure I’m fighting fit. I also have to ensure the final touches are in place.

At the same time I must keep myself free of injury, although that is something I can not think of during  the sparring. That is the toughest part, Brækhus said  to the news agency NTB last week.
Four years ago she beat Mathis on points in a game in Frederikshavn.
