Three Great Norwegian Attractions

Norway has many attractions. These attractions are featured in different seasons and different cities in Norway. In this article, I intend to introduce you to three of these attractions.

The most attractive park in Norway: Vigeland Park/Frogner Park

The park has more than 200 statues of bronze, granite and Cast iron. The main attraction of the park is due to the existence of these statues made by Gustav Vigeland. The sculptor’s reputation is due to the design of the Nobel Peace Medal. The park is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the city of Oslo, with more than 1 million visitors annually. The fountains and bridges of this park are among the designs by Vigeland as well. The park is Oslo’s largest city park. Frogner Park is a public park that is open 24/7, all year round. Since 2009, it has become a legacy of Norway and is protected as a national herritage. If we travel to Norway and Oslo, it is impossible to not visit this park.

Where is the End of the World?

Actually, there are several of the End of the World in Norway. The most famous End of the World (Verdens Ende) is a rocky beach 130 kilometres south of Oslo. The combination of stone and water has created a spectacular landscape on this beautiful beachfront. The nearby equestrian club provides the possibility of riding in the beautiful nature of the surrounding area. The tourist centre, restaurant, and resorts are among other amenities available on this rocky shore.

Swords in Rock

The three giant Viking swords, planted in solid rock, is a memorial of the historic sea battle in the Hafrsfjord that united “whole” Norway under one king, namely Harald Fairhair (Harald Hårfagre). The swords were the symbol chosen for this Viking Age Memorial in Stavanger.
