Sembo, a Norwegian travel site, has seen a marked increase in searches for holidays to the UK after Brexit.

The pound has been high over the past year, but despite this Sembo has sold increasingly more flights and hotels for the UK in 2016 compared to 2015. London is as usual a favorite destination for Norwegians, and the last week, the number of queries and orders for travel to London has increased by 45% compared with the week before. If we compare “Brexit week” with the same week last year, there is a doubling in the number of orders.

London is generally one of Sembo-customers favorite cities, in addition to London orders for travel to Scotland and the cities of Glasgow and Edinburgh have also increased.

It is always pleasing to have good sales figures says Aud J. Bengtsson, Marketing and Communications for Sembo. We’ve sold generally very good this year, and now it seems as if Brexit gives more tourists to the UK.
