Easter record breaking anticipated for Gardermoen

2019 will probably be the busiest Easter ever at Oslo Gardermoen airport, with over 100,000 travellers passing through in one day.

The busiest day will be next Friday, with 102,530 expected passengers wrote VG newspaper.

On Thursday, 95,356 passengers are expected, while the day before, 84,280 are expected . In the holidays, between 41,000 and 93,000 passengers are expected.

Most quiet will be on the Easter evening, with 41,123 travellers.

Communication manager, Joachim Wester Andersen at Oslo Gardermoen Airport, recommended that everyone calculates a little extra time. He said check in, sending luggage, security checks, walking time, and street or food ordering could take longer than you think.

He also recommended extra time to travel outside theSchengen zone, as there may be queues at the passport control.
