Norwegian Air U.K. to Fly Brazil

Just a week after submitting application to Brazilian authorities requesting license to offer commercial air flights into and out-of Brazil; Norway’s low priced air-carrier Norwegian Air has been granted Brazilian permission to establish commercial air traffic between Europe & Brazil.

 

Wednesday, August 8, Norwegian Air was granted permission to operate commercial flights in and out of Brazil, according to a published notice in Brazil’s official Business Register.

A NEW RELATIONSHIP
Speaking with online business newspaper E24 of Norwegian Air’s new Brazilian license acquisition, Norwegian communications manager Lasse Sandaker-Nielsen said “I can confirm that Norwegian AIr has been granted permission by Brazilian authorities to fly between Brazil and the U.K.’ –

“Today’s air travel relationship between Brazil and the U.K. is characterized by low competition and high prices. Norwegian Air intends to reverse that.”

Sandaker-Nielsen also told that Norwegian Air is considering the creation of a second air route between London & Rio.

2019 LAUNCH DATE
Norwegian Air, Europe’s 3rd largest low-cost airline, requested permission late last month to operate flights between Brazil & London starting 2019.

Wednesday’s Brazilian nod of approval inaugurates Norwegian Air as the first low-cost air carrier to be granted authorization to fly regularly scheduled flights,transport cargo and offer routine mail delivery from London to Brazil.

With 220 aircraft on order as of April, 2018, Norwegian Air has the 2nd largest order-book among European airlines.
