SAS pilots thanked Norwegian, who set up several extra flights on Saturday due to the strike at their competitor, SAS’s airline.

‘’We do not want to hit third parties, that is, the passengers. It is helpful that Norwegian has the capacity to set up extra departures’’ said head of Scandinavian Norway Flygerforening, Jan Levi Skogvang, to NTB news on behalf of the striking pilots.

‘’We have managed to set up a few extra flights tomorrow from Oslo to Stavanger, Bergen, Trondheim, Bodø, Ålesund, and Tromsø’’ said press spokeswoman, Astrid Mannion-Gibson to E24 news.

SAS passengers looking for other companies to travel with on Friday had found few flights and high prices wrote E24. For example, the price of the only departure with vacant seats from Oslo to Helsinki were over NOK 8,200.

‘’Prices are regulated as usual by supply and demand. We are now
experiencing an extraordinary increase, and then it is quite natural that the prices be adjusted’’ said information director, Lasse Sandaker-Nielsen of Norwegian earlier on Friday.
