A SAS flight from Gardermoen to Værnes had to turn around on Sunday due to strong side winds near Trondheim. In addition, two flights from Gardermoen to Manchester have had to turn back.
“We have some challenges now. In addition to Trondheim, there were a couple of flights to Manchester that had to turn around. It’s hard to say when the planes will be back in the air. Right now, we have to rebook the passengers and they have to wait for the first available aircraft,” press spokesman Kristian de Place Gamborg Hansen told VG.
Otherwise, air traffic is as usual in the city.
Gamborg Hansen tells Dagbladet that there may be more flight trouble.
“It is difficult to predict whether more aircraft will be canceled or turned around, because the weather is very changeable,” he says.
