The French Press Agency gives report that Ryanair, the Irish-based, largest air passenger carrier within Europe, has cancelled 600 pending flights due to an ongoing labor strike by Ryanair cabin crew within Spain, Belgium & Portugal.

This latest European Ryanair crew strike follows upon the heels of the two-day action strike by some pilots based in Ireland. An Irish pilot union announcement gave that the 24-hour pilot strikes will take place upon July 20th & July 24th.

Ryanair has released an apology to their customers for the cancellations.

These latest 600 flight cancellations will affect passengers who booked flights to Belgium, Portugal and Spain for travel upon July 25th & 26th.

LABOR DEMANDS
Ryanair’s European cabin crews published a list of their labor demands on July 4th,including requests for “fair living wages”, improved sick pay, and contracts written in their own language; based upon local law rather than upon Irish law.

Cabin crews also complain that they’re forced to buy personal drinking water during work flights and further, must physically report to work when suffering an illness and provide written details of their illness & symptoms to management.

Ryanair recognized trade unions for the first time in its 32-year history in 2017.
