Tourism Minister: The hotel attack in Egypt was robbery attempt

The attack on Bella Vista Hotel in Hurghada was a robbery attempt, not a terrorist attack, according to Egypt’s tourism minister. Three foreign tourists were wounded.
Two men armed with knives attacks hotel Friday. One of them, a 21-year-old man, was killed by the police, and the other was seriously injured when the two tried to escape from the place, police said according to the website Ahram Online.
None of the nine Norwegians who stayed at the hotel was injured but tells of a dramatic situation.
– We were in the hotel room when the attack started. We turned off the lights and was quiet. I counted a total of 21 shots. They seemed targeted because it was a short gunfire after another. It was daunting, says Mats Christopher Vale (24) to the newspaper VG.
