Prime Minister Erna Solberg (Høyre) promises a new crisis package for Norwegian museums.

The new crisis package will apply to museums that did not qualify for support in the first crisis package for the cultural sector, for those who receive over 60 per cent public funding, writes Bergens Tidende.

“We are working hard to find solutions for institutions such as Kode, and it is part of the work to divide the revised national budget into two groups. It will come next week,” says the Prime Minister.

On Tuesday, the Kode Museum in Bergen announced that they would go bankrupt by October at the latest if they received no more public support. The museum is in danger of losing up to 30 million kroner in turnover.
