In several Norwegian counties there are over a thousand young people on waiting lists to get into high schools. Currently there are 5,558 students who have not got a place yet.
In Akershus, Hordaland and Rogaland there are over a thousand students on the waiting list while in Oslo and Nord-Trøndelag all students who have applied got a place in high school, written by Education journal “Fagbladet”.
– We have too many applicants and not everyone has gotten into one of their first three choices. They are now on the waiting list, said leader Hilde Dahlberg from the admissions office in Akershus to Fagbladet journal.
Anyone who comes straight from secondary school has requirements in place.
– There is no crisis that cannot come into the first intake. We will find places for all, mentioned by Dahlberg.
