1,557 new homes have been sold since mid-February. This is 34 per cent less than in the same period last year.

“The measures against the coronavirus have led to a clear drop in sales. After March 12, sales were 44 percent lower than the previous month. Østlandet, in particular, has seen a big reduction,” writes Econ Nye Boliger in a report, according to E24.

Sales are also 32 per cent lower than the previous two-month period.

9 per cent of the homes for sale were sold during the period, compared with 14 per cent in the same period last year.

However, there is a decline in the number of unsold homes in Norway, from 16,182 in February to 15,839 in April.
