BankID is down on Thursday due to a change of supplier. The downtime was supposed to last until 8 AM but was extended. The service will probably be up again at lunchtime.
“Unfortunately, it took a little longer to start the first step in the relocation process. It can also mean that there will be some waiting time when we reopen. We apologize for the wait,” a message on BankID’s website states.
BankID will probably be ready for use again at lunchtime on Thursday.
From and including Thursday, October 21, until and including Tuesday, October 26, at 8 AM, people will not be able to activate a new BankID or open a blocked or expired BankID, the message warns.
