United Federation are stepping up the hotel and restaurant strike on the national day. But the Norwegian Hospitality Association says the holidays are not as important to the industry.

50 employees at four companies that have not previously been part of the conflict, will go on strike on 17 May. It’s about Radisson Blu Haugesund, Joe’s Pizza at Gardermoen, Vollan Gjestestue Troms / Finnmark and Sunndalsora hotels.
At the beginning of Pentecost are a total of 7,250 people on strike after another 269 union members started to strike from this Friday. The conflict has lasted for nearly three weeks.
