Statkraft achieved a profit after tax of NOK 3.9 billion in the fourth quarter last year. That is NOK 200 million more than in the same quarter in 2020.

For the whole of 2021, the result ended at NOK 16.1 billion, which is an improvement from NOK 3.5 billion the year before.

Statkraft proposes distributing a dividend of NOK 10.2 billion, which is three times as much as the year before.

“Statkraft delivered strong results last year, based on high Nordic power prices and high Norwegian hydropower production.

“However, the extraordinary market situation creates a demanding situation for consumers and households. This is not a situation we want,” CEO Christian Rynning-Tønnesen in Statkraft stated.

I wonder why the government has become so insensitive to peoples economic situation. How come it doesn’t consider reducing electricity price while it is garnering a huge profit? This is totally unacceptable and decreases the popularity of the parties in power. They need to seriously think about this and take action.
