At this year's county tour are royal couple meeting the Nordmorings from 0 to 100. King Harald speaks warmly about the importance that the generations stay together.
This year's county visits are five selected municipalities north in Møre and Romsdal, and Thursday landed the royal couple landed at lerøy pier at Halsanaustan in Halsa. There was large crowd along the royal couple's route through the village, where the main program was at Halsa primary and secondary school.
- It is not often on our county trips that a school is the framework around our visit. It is nicer to come here today and get surrounded by so many wonderful children and adolescents. It's almost like the Queen and I feel a little younger we also, in such company, said King Harald in his speech.
Halsa Municipality received IA award last year for low absenteeism and working environment award in 2014. Heading back to the dock the king and queen saw many voluntary groups and organizations in activities, including senior dance with accordion and trim group for the elderly. In his speech, King spoke about the importance of recognizing everyone, regardless of resources and age, in one community:
We all have something that is valuable and unique, whether we are young or old. The older I get, the stronger I see how important it is that we are together across generations. The county journey ends Thursday with a visit to Surnadal municipality.
