The Royal couple have applied for permission to build a new house on Skaugum.
Application to build the accommodation came in to Asker Municipality Friday, writes the local newspaper Budstikka. The castle informs the newspaper that the purpose is rebuild a rental property on the site that burned last year.
According to the application do the Crown Prince wants to build a house with a floor space of 216 square meters. The ground floor plan will include kitchen, living / dining room and library, plus bathroom and laundry. On the second floor there will be a bathroom, four bedrooms and a loft room.
The Directorate has recently approved the drawings for the new building.
The home will be built by Follohus on Ski. The company states that the new house will resemble to what was there before, and that it should be built "bit in the Swiss style."
It was on the 23tn of December 2012 that the old farm manager at Skaugum burned. The residence was located 100 meters from Crown Prince couple's own home, and the new residence to be built in the same place.
