Sweden's King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia said originally no to the invitation to participate in the constitutional anniversary at Eidsvoll 17th May because the king does not visit other countries on their national day.
Both the Swedish and the Danish royal family were invited to participate in the 200th anniversary celebration of Norway's constitution 17 May. The Parliament in Denmark have reported that Queen Margrethe and her husband Prince Henrik will attend the celebration outside The Eidsvoll building.
