Bergen: 40 new corona cases and two deaths registered in the last 24 hours

A total of 40 new cases of COVID-19 have been registered in Bergen on Friday, the Municipality stated. At the same time, two new deaths have been reported.

Out of the total, 29 of those infected are close contacts of other confirmed cases. According to the Municipality, seven have an uncertain transmission route, three have an unknown route of transmission, and one case is imported.

The new cases of infection have primarily been registered in people between 13 and 30 years (20 cases) and in people between 40 and 60 years (13 cases).

On Wednesday, 1,602 tested themselves for coronavirus at the testing stations in the Municipality.

A total of 5,471 people have now been registered infected in the Municipality since the pandemic started. At the same time, two new deaths have been reported among patients with COVID-19.
