A male e-scooter driver is injured after he collided with a light rail tram at Møllendalseveien in Bergen. His injuries are described as serious.

The Western Police District was notified of the accident at 11:44 PM on Saturday. The crime scene was blocked off, and the light rail did not drive past Møllendalsveien after the accident.

The injured person is a man in his 30s, the newspaper Bergensavisen writes. The man was allegedly awake when the emergency services arrived at the scene.

On Sunday morning, operations manager Stine Mjelde in the Western Police District told the newspaper Bergens Tidende.

“The latest status update from Haukeland at half-past one tonight is that the person is seriously injured and that they can not say anything about the outcome of the accident.”

She stated that the electric scooter was rented and that the police have seized it. The light rail tram has been taken out of operation.
