EV owners running cars longer distances

One in four with EV report to driving over 40 kilometers each day. – It breaks the myth that it is not possible to drive far with an EV, believes Norwegian electric vehicle association.

The largest group has claimed a mileage between 12,000 and 16,000 kilometers per year, equivalent to 44 kilometers each day, according to a survey Norwegian EV association has done.

– This effectively debunks the myth that electric cars are only good enough for short trips, said Secretary General Christina Bu.

In the heaviest users of electric car owners they claimed to have drove there vehicle 82 kilometers every day throughout the year.

The survey shows that there are relatively few running under 8000km annually and over 30,000 kilometers annually.
There are currently around 85,000 electric cars in Norway, which is equivalent to around three per cent of all 2.6 million passenger cars, according to electric vehicle association.
