During the night between Saturday and Sunday, five people were arrested for driving under the influence in Bergen and the surrounding area. One of the cars hit a wall in Fjøsangerveien.

“There has been an unusual number of reports of reckless driving,” operations manager Tatjana Knappen in the Western Police District told the newspaper Bergens Tidende.

A total of five people have been reported for driving under the influence. Knappen told the newspaper VG that the drivers involved had their driver’s licenses confiscated.

One of them drove a car into a wall in Fjøsangerveien in Bergen at 3 o’clock. No injuries were reported.

“There are frighteningly many (cases). It is impossible to say whether it is a trend, but I hope it isn’t,” the operations manager noted.
